David and Lynn Frank serve minority languages in Bible translation and language development. Their career over the past thirty years since finishing graduate school has focused on creole languages, and more recently, other languages of West Africa. They spent nearly 17 years focusing on French Creole in residence on the island of Saint Lucia, and since 2002 have been involved with Gullah, an English Creole spoken along the coastal area of the southeastern U.S. Now, while still involved with French Creole and English Creole, they are serving as academic editors and as consultants to language projects in West Africa.
